Overview
Api Himal trek is the most wilderness and adventurous trek in Nepal. Api Himal region lying on the Humla district of the Far western Nepal is one of the isolated area of Nepal. Api Himal with an altitude of (7,132m.) is the highest mountain in the far west Nepal. Api Himal trek is perfect blend of the culturally and biologically rich trekking trail in the picturesque environment of far west Nepal. This trek offers you the most spectacular mountain views of the glaciated Mountains like Thado Dhunga Tuppa (5,368 m.), Rajamba (6,537m.), Kapchuli also known as Jethibahurani, Mt. Nandadevi (7,817 m.) which lies at Uttar {Pradesh of India including Api Himal itself.
Api Himal trek commences from Karkale after you drive for 14 hours from Nepalgunj to Karkale. To reach Nepalgunj you take a flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj. From Karkalla the API Himal trekking trail follows the uphill, villages and terrains. En route the trekking trail passes through different ethnic villages, pristine forests, isolated trails, rugged terrains of the western Himal. Api Himal trek is also an idyllic trek for bird watching and nature lovers. In the end of each day trek you will spend overnight in the ethnic villages. These small rural villages are inhibited by the mixed cultural peoples like Chettri, Mahara, Bohora, Thekare, Jhakari and Lohar (iron-smith). The warm welcome and the friendly behavior of the people makes you feel comfort. Agriculture is the main occupation of the people inhibited in these villages. You will get an opportunity to experience the typical culture of these people and explore the most rare community of the Nepal namely Raute. These people use to live in the Cave which they called Dhawaliwadar and resided on the bank of the river. These days these people does Nomadic farming.
Itinerary
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu in international airport reception and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu valley sightseeing / Cultural Day in Kathmandu Valley
Half day sightseeing around Kathmandu where your guide will escort you on a tour of Buddhist and Hindu temples, and shrines reflecting ancient local traditions. There is time to explore the city many places of interest on your own or take a rest while trekking permits are finalized.
Day 03: We take a flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj. Overnight on hotel
Day 04: We drive from Nepalgunj to Mahendranagar by reserve bus on hotel.
Day 05: We drive from Mahendranagar to Gokuleshwor by reserve bus on hotel.
Day 06: We start trekking from Gokuleshwor to Karkale On camp.
Day 07: We trek from Karkale to Chiureni On camp.
Day 08: We trek from Chiureni to Makarighat On camp.
Day 09: We trek from Makarighat to Seti On camp.
Day 10: We trek from Seti to Lawathi On camp.
Day 11: We trek from Lawathi to Simar On camp.
Day 12: We trek from Simar to Dhawaliwadar On camp.
Day 13: We trek from Dhawalidwar to Api Himal Base Camp On camp.
Day 14: We trek from Api Himal Base Camp to Saheb Bagar On camp.
Day 15: We trek from Saheb Bagar to Makarighat On camp.
Day 16: We trek from Makarighat to Bitule On camp.
Day 17: We trek from Bitule to Gokuleshwor On camp.
Day 18: We drive from Gokuleshwor to Mahendranagar on hotel.
Day 19: We drive from Mahendranagar to Nepalgunj on hotel
Day 20: We take a flight from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu transferred to hotel
Day 21: Free day in Kathmandu fore elsewhere sightseeing, shopping and other activities like relaxing then back to hotel
Day 22: Final departure to your homeland country,
