Tamang Heritage Trek

Overview

Tamang heritage trek is a stunning and exciting trekking trail situated between langtang and Ganesh Himal. This is a fascinating trek rich with cultural and natural beauty and equipped with natural wilderness with stunning mountain panorama. Tamang heritage trek is a suitable trek that offers one with warm welcoming culture of Tamang’s and different panoramic mountain views of the nearby peaks and soak in the natural hot springs at Tatopani. Formerly a restricted area near the Tibet border, the unexplored region of the Langtang national park has recently been developed into tamang heritage trail.  The new tamang heritage trekking offers a peek at the Himalaya life style and culture of tamang people.

Tamang heritage trek start with an adventurous drive from Kathmandu to syabrubesi and then walking different fascinating villages of various culture and religion. The trail passes through traditional tamang village where life style, culture and crafts have remain unchanged since the beginning of the settlement. In addition to culture experience, the trek offer also wilderness experience through beautiful scenery of alpine topography, flat pastures and rhododendron forest.  

Tamang heritage trek is a moderate grade trek which requires good health condition and walking experience to commence. Explore the untouched beauty and experience the warm welcoming culture of the inhabitants.

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Kathmandu valley (1350m). Upon your arrival we assist you from airport to hotel. Rest overnight.

Day 2: Today early in the morning we drive from Kathmandu for 8hours all the way to syabrubesi (1440m). Rest overnight.

Day 3: Today early in the morning after breakfast we drive to Goljung and then walk for 5hours all the way to Gatlang (2238m). Rest overnight.

Day 4: Today we trek from Gatlang walking for 5-6hours all the way to Tato Pani (2607m). Enjoy the natural hot spring and sightseeing spot. Rest overnight.

Day 5: Today after breakfast we trek for 7-8 hours from Tato Pani all the way to Thuman (2338m) passing through Nathali (3165m). Rest overnight.

Day 6: Today early in the morning we trek from Thuman walking for 3-4hours all the way to Timure and Tibetan border. Rest overnight.

Day 7: Today we trek from Timure walking for 5-6hours all the way to Briddim (2239m). Rest overnight.

Day 8: Acclimation day at Briddim. Explore the sightseeing and natural wilderness along with cultural tour. Rest overnight.

Day 9: Today early in the morning we trek from Briddim walking for 4-5hours all the way back to syabrubesi. Rest overnight.

Day 10: Today we driver from syabrubesi all the way back to Kathmandu. At evening we assist you to international airport for your final departure.
